FICTION BOOK REPORT GUIDELINES

DUE DATE:  FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9TH, 2015

Parent Signature:  _______________________

Folded Cover:  (supplied by teacher)

Print title of book and author on top.

Print your full name on the right corner at the bottom.

Draw a picture about the book in the center of your cover.

COLOR THE ENTIRE COVER including background.

Writing:  A rough draft sheet is provided to write notes on as you are reading your book.  Turn the rough draft in with your book report (do not glue it in your cover).

Write a 3-paragraph summary about the story you read.  Summary must be glued or stapled inside the folded and decorated cover.          

Paragraph 1:  Write a summary of the beginning of the story.  Make sure to introduce the main characters and setting of the story.

Paragraph 2:  Write a summary of the middle of the story.  Be sure to include the problem in the story.

Paragraph 3:  Write a summary of the end of the story.  Be sure to mention how the problem got solved.

Remember to indent each paragraph and use your neatest penmanship.

Follow all directions on top to receive full credit and turn in your book report on time.
